MC Velo & Tour Down Under

Get ready to saddle up and join us for an unforgettable cycling adventure in Adelaide! We're thrilled to extend an exclusive invitation to MC Velo to experience riding through picturesque landscapes, soaking up the vibrant atmosphere of the Tour Down Under, and getting up close to pro cyclists in action.

Embark on a great week of cycling unlike any other as we explore the stunning routes around Adelaide, taking in breathtaking scenery while cycling famous routes. This is your chance to ride alongside fellow Velo members, soak in the energy of the Tour Down Under, and witness professional cyclists showcasing their talent.

High-level itinerary

The TDU runs between 13 and 21 January. The MCV timetable will run between 17 and 22 January. 

The highlights of the MC Velo tour are below, and a fuller timetable will be provided in time. 

Daily ride schedules (out and back) TBC, including all the iconic Adelaide rides (Corkscrew, Norton Summit, Mt Lofty, Crayfers - Old Highway, Chequer Hill, Montacute Rd, Greenhill Rd).

Organised dinner each night at a feature restaurant. We will catch local breakfasts & lunches where appropriate. 

We will have the opportunity to catch most stage finishes live.

Our HQ will be YHA Adelaide Central, which is super close to the Tour Village.  

Friday 19 Jan - a satellite ride (80-100km) out to Port Elliot. On arrival we will check in to YHA Port Elliot, located just metres from the official Stage Finish, and stay overnight in Port Elliot after a leisurely local dinner.

Saturday 20 Jan - ride back to Adelaide in time to catch the Willunga Hill Stage Finish on the big screen at the Tour Village or potentially ride to stage finish (TBC). 

Sunday 22 Jan - depart after morning ride and brunch/lunch.
